Galway will face Dublin in the Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Senior Camogie quarter-finals on August 4, having given up top spot in group one to Kilkenny.
The Tribeswomen suffered their only loss on Sunday when Kilkenny prevailed by 1-17 to 0-13 to go directly into the semi-finals as group winners, where they are joined by champions Cork.
Kilkenny held a two-point lead at the break, 0-9 to 0-7, despite two early points Ailish O’Reilly and a Niamh McGrath effort had Galway in front, but a series of wides did not help Galway's cause.
Kilkenny took control through Denise Gaule, Michelle Quilty, Miriam Walsh and Shelly Farrell, and although Carrie Dolan and O’Reilly, with her fourth from play, restored parity, Galway were eventually undone by a 41st minute goal by Gaule from a penalty.
