Chamber Philharmonia Cologne in concert in St Nicholas'

German ensemble makes annual visit to Galway next week

THE CHAMBER Philharmonia Cologne, one of Germany's finest classical music ensembles, make their annual journey to Galway, to play works by Vivaldi, Handel, Peter Tchaikovsky, and Niccolo Paganini.

The Chamber Philharmonia (or Kammerphilharmonie Köln ) will play St Nicholas Collegiate Church on Wednesday August 1 at 8pm. The ensemble will perform Vivaldi's much loved 'Four Seasons'.

The Chamber Philharmonia Cologne regularly tours New Zealand, Australia, Spain, Great Britain, Ireland, and Germany, and performs c300 concerts a year. Since 2009 it has enjoyed a partnership with the Mercedes-Benz Centre in Cologne. The ensembles motto is “Classical music the world over”.

Tickets are available at the door one hour prior to the concert, at €20 (adult ), €17 (pensioners ), and €12 (students/children ).
