Outflow - a GIAF18 exhibition

Show to look at "the beauty, the fragility and the violence of being" and intersections between science and philosophy

AN EXHIBITION exploring "the beauty, the fragility and the violence of being" on one hand, and intersections and conflicts between science and philosophy, make up the exhibition Outflow.

Outflow, featuring work by Ronnie Hughes and Evgeniya Martirosyan, and curated by Stephan Roche, runs at the 126 Gallery, St Bridget’s Place, Woodquay, as part of the Galway International Arts Festival.

Hughes’ works are executed with complex technical skill, yet retain a lightness of touch. While his finished paintings display a diversity of styles, at heart they share a common concern with the lived experience. Using a broad range of techniques, Martirosyan’s work explores the poetic possibilities of the fluid and constantly shifting state of things.

The exhibition runs until July 29. Gallery opening times are 11am to 6pm. Admission is free.
