LISA CASEY, the reigning Irish Comedian Of The Year, is at the Róisín Dubh next week, headlining the latest instalment of the Dominick Street venue's Comedy KARLnival night.
Lisa, one of the most exciting and fastest rising new Irish comedians, has performed at Electric Picnic, The Stand's 'Best of the Irish’ at the 2017 Edinburgh festival, and toured Australia. Her comedy has been described as “deliberately awkward...original” by the Galway Advertiser, while David McSavage called her "so weird she makes me feel normal. Very funny."
Also on on the bill is Corkonian Alan Hurley, who the Irish Examiner said is "set to become a household name". He has played RTÉ 2 New Comedy Awards, the Vodafone Comedy Festival Dublin, Vodafone Comedy Carnival Galway, Electric Picnic, the Edinburgh Fringe, and the New Zealand International Comedy Festival. Support is from David Scullion, MC of the International Comedy Club, Dublin. He has performed at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
The Comedy KARLnival is on Tuesday July 17. The MC is Karl Spain. Doors are 8.30pm. Tickets are €5 from OMG@Zhivago, Shop Street, Roisin Dubh, and www.roisindubh.net, or €7 at door.
