Galway prepared for Limerick's challenge

Galway senior camogie players head to Bruff on Saturday for their third Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Senior Championship clash (5pm ).

Limerick are their group one opponents and Galway should be hopeful of a third successive win to continue their lead of pool one.

Galway have been in good form, a crushing win over Waterford in their last outing, following a 1-16 to 0-9 victory against Clare.

In the driving seat at the top of group one, Galway will be aware Limerick need to keep alive their hopes of progressing, and Galway can expect a robust challenge from the Treaty women.

Limerick suffered a 13-point defeat to League champions Kilkenny in their opening group one clash in Bruff, but kept their hopes of a knockout berth alive when Niamh Mulcahy struck the late equaliser to snatch a share of the spoils against neighbours Clare in Sixmilebridge the following week.

Galway, meanwhile, disposed of Waterford too easily, with youngster Carrie Dolan bagging 1-8 in their 4-12 to 0-8 victory at Kenny Park.

Manager Cathal Murray will be looking for another positive start, led by Ailish O’Reilly, Niamh Kilkenny, the McGrath sisters, and Sarah Dervan.
