JANAJ to play Róisín Dubh

Critically acclaimed Galway band at work on new recordings

FOLLOWING THE release of their critically acclaimed single 'Badlands' earlier this year, Galway alt-rock band JANAJ play a gig in the upstairs bar of the Róisín Dubh.

JANAJ's music fuses prog, acoustic, and classic rock. Their live shows have been praised by An Áit Eile, which said: "JANAJ's show was filled with so much energy and charisma... The five-piece are one of Galway’s brightest young bands”.

In 2016 the band won the coveted Irish Youth Music Award, which opened up a number of opportunities, such as playing for Uachtarán na hÉireann, Michael D Higgins; gaining national airplay; and releasing of their debut EP A in 2017. They have also played Electric Picnic and are working on their next release. 'Badlands' was described by the Galway Advertiser as “brooding and dark, and featuring tasteful guitar work, the single is an impressive statement from the band”.

JANAJ play upstairs in the Róisín on Friday July 29 at 8pm. Admission is €5.
