Corrandulla Show on this weekend

Corrandulla is famous for being a great day out so come and join the fun at Corrandulla Show this Sunday June 24th. Admission to the Show is a very reasonable €10 or two for €15 and children are free.

Set on 50 acres of land in Corrandulla village the show is now one of the biggest agricultural shows in the country, and only 15 minutes from Galway City or Tuam. Corrandulla is a traditional country show with a modern twist. While show jumping, Connemara pony, cattle, dog, poultry and arts & crafts classes remain the core business of the show there are new features added each year to ensure a full day’s entertainment for all the family.

While the kids are being entertained parents can enjoy the Country Market and the wonderful displays of all types of “Arts & Crafts” in the new gymnasium. This section of the show is kindly sponsored by Spar Corrandulla. The newly crowned Galway Rose, Deirdre O’Sullivan, is making one of her first public appearances at Corrandulla Show, the Show is very honoured to have her and wish her all the best at the “Rose of Tralee” later in the summer.

The Cattle Showing section continues to grow, with the addition of Friesian Classes last year. Another new addition is the very popular Nutrias Baby Beef Competition which has a prize fund of €1000. In Show Jumping the Kenny Motors sponsored Connacht Grand Prix will be a big attraction, this kicks off at 3pm and is not to be missed. Show Jumping starts at 9am so there will be lots of action in this area throughout the day.

Entries for most areas of the show can be taken on the day, see www.corrandullashow.com for a full schedule of events. For further information please contact 087 6041100 or 087 9462222.
