To celebrate mums everywhere, Brown Thomas Galway gave one deserving mum and her daughter the chance to reinvent their look and be pampered for the whole day.
From the thousands of entries it was Ballybane woman Pauline Flaherty who had a Mother’s Day to remember after she was entered into the Galway Advertiser competition by her daughter Sophie Connolly.
The lucky duo won a €1,000 shopping spree complete with a personal shopper for the day and beauty make-over at a cosmetics counter of their choice, followed by a personal photo shoot in the Meyrick Hotel, Galway.
The two were greeted with champagne and refreshments on arrival to the store, before meeting with their personal shopper for the day, Amanda Snee, who took them through the stunning fashions available at Brown Thomas this season.
Pauline chose a stunning dress and jacket by coveted Irish designer Joanne Hynes whose collection will be available exclusively in store until April 5. Joanne herself will be visiting the Brown Thomas Galway store this Saturday March 28 to personally present her collection to customers. Pauline also chose a pair of chic Ted Baker heels from the wide range of styles available in the shoe department. Sophie picked a contemporary dress by Lipsy with shoes from Bertie while both ladies chose timeless jewellery from Angelique.
Following this the delighted pair were treated to personal make-up consultations in the Brown Thomas cosmetics hall. Mum Pauline received a glamorous make-over by make-up artist Mercy at Bobbi Brown, while Sophie was given tips on how to achieve the perfect natural look by make-up artist Danielle at BareMinerals. BareMinerals has only recently launched in Brown Thomas Galway and is hailed as the number one make-up in America.
To top off the day of styling and pampering the two were whisked away to the stunning surroundings of the Meyrick Hotel, Galway, to unveil their new looks in their own personal photo shoot. All in all, the perfect Mother’s Day gift!
