One last time for Straight Outta Connemara

AFTER A year of touring rural Ireland with Straight Outta Connemara, Paraic Breathnach brings his autobiographical comedy show back to the city for one final farewell performance.

Based on stories, adventures, and episodes from Breathnach’s colourful life, the show begins with picking spuds as a gasúr in Carna, to living it large in California. Along the way there are stories of the sexually repressed seventies in Ireland; dropping out of college; gay liberation in San Francisco; and accidentally killing one of his mother's turkeys. Along the way, various 'unholy cows' are the target for Breathnach’s wit and satire.

Paraic Breathnach performs Straight Outta Connemara in the Róisín Dubh upstairs bar on Friday June 22 at 8pm. Admission is €10. There are tickets left for the Árus Eanna, Inís Óirr show (June 23 ). His new show, The Macnas Was On Me, will premiere at the Galway Comedy Carnival in October.
