St Nicholas’ Garden Fete this Saturday

This Saturday June 9, from 2-5 pm, the annual St Nicholas’ Garden Fete will take place at The Rectory on Taylor’s Hill, Salthill. Everyone is invited to the fun-filled day, one of Galway’s great social occasions. Parking will be available at St. Mary’s College. All proceeds from the fete will go to maintain St Nicholas’.

St Patrick’s Brass Band are ready to play familiar melodies in their inimitable style, to create a wonderful ambience. The bakers have baked all kinds of goodies for the Bake Stall, and the BBQ is smoking hot.

For the children, the bouncing castle is up and ready, as well as the toy stall, face painting, ice cream, games and myriad other activities including the Teddy Tombola which was so popular last year.

Buy a gorgeous plant on the plant stall or get a bargain at bric-a brac and antique stall or the silent auction. Win a prize in the raffle or by taking a spin (or two! ) on the exciting Wheel of Fortune!

Enjoy a cream tea on the lawn, a burger or hot dog if that’s your choice, maybe a homemade waffle with chocolate sauce or a lovely ice cream. The Garden Fete is a fun day out for everyone, young and old alike. All money raised helps to maintain St Nicholas’, 700 years young and going strong at Galway’s ancient spiritual and cultural centre. You can be sure of a warm welcome this Saturday from 2-5pm.
