DESPITE THE weather having improved notably over recent days, Galway can expect a touch of snow in the first week of June, at the next Galway Music Residency's Music & Musings concert.
The Galway premiere of 'Snowline', a new work for string quartet commissioned by RTÉ last year, will be performed by the ConTempo Quartet in the Black Gate Cultural Centre, St Francis Street, on Thursday June 7 at 8.30pm. ConTempo will also perform Debussy’s String Quartet in Gm, and there will be a public conversation between Deirdre McKay and the quartet, chaired by Linda O’Shea Farren of the Contemporary Music Centre.
Tickets are €12/7 via www.eventbrite.ie or on the door (limited availability ).
