"IF YOU ever thought Irish music and dancing weren’t sexy and cool, go - and be converted." So said The Irish Times about Trad On The Prom, the Galway based Irish music, song, and dance show, which returns next week.
Trad On The Prom is at Leisureland, Salthill, starting Tuesday May 15, and takes place every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday, rom 8.30pm to 10.30pm, until October 7. The show features Máirín Fahy (featured soloist with Riverdance and The Chieftains ) on fiddle and vocals; and on bodhrán, whistles, uileann pipes, accordions, concertina, bouzuki, guitars, and keyboards are Chris Kelly, Gerard Fahy (composer of Lord Of The Dance ), Yvonne Fahy, Padraig Rynne, and Colm Henry. Singers include Eurovision star Marc Roberts, Multi-AIMS winner Sean Costello, and Chieftains vocalist Yvonne McMahon.
The Trad on the Prom dancers have 25 world titles between them, including world champions Claire Greaney, brothers Fergal and Cathal Keaney (Lord Of The Dance ), brothers Michael and Matthew Gardiner, Colm Conneely, Emer Finnerty, and Anne-Marie Keaney
