All eyes will be on HRH Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on Saturday, 19th May as the Royal Wedding takes place at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Expected to be one of the largest events for Windsor Castle, here in The House we are just as excited.
The Royal Wedding will be live on TV and The House will be serving their Royal Afternoon Tea, accompanied by their famous champagne cocktail, The Duchess.
Head Chef Shane Hanly has created an Afternoon Tea with a difference, with a nod to American and British classics in honour of both Meghan and Harry. Afternoon Tea will include delicious freshly made sandwiches and Housemade desserts.
The Duchess cocktail was specifically created for the visit of HRH The Duchess of Cornwall to The House in 2015 during the Royal Visit to Ireland. The cocktail, a firm favourite on the Galway scene since 2015, is a delicate blend of Mumm Champagne, Dingle Gin and Elderflower liqueur, along with lemon scenting dusting, and ice cubes infused with rosemary, orange, lemon and lime zest. It was described by The Duchess of Cornwall herself as being ‘quite innocuous’ and ‘packs a bit of a punch. You’ll have to sip it slowly though as it is deceptively strong. Delicious though!’.
The Royal Afternoon Tea is priced at €34pp and pre-booking is essential. Call The House now on 091 538 900 to book in.
