Stewart Construction, founded in Salthill in 1902 was first invited to enter the programme in 2014 and became the first Main Contractor in Ireland to attain Gold Standard last year. Employing over 100 full time employees, Stewart Construction is a nationwide contractor with a large percentage of its work in the Dublin region. Rachael Stewart, Director, pictured here with some of the Stewart Team at the gala awards which was attended by over 1,000 people from the Irish business community, said they are proud to have the opportunity to work on Galway projects such as the new Gaelscoil Mhic Amhlaigh in Knocknacarra, right on our doorstep and on high profile next generation business hubs such as Dublin Airport Central, a 20000sq.m. office development beside Terminal 2 being delivered by Stewart on a design and build basis. The industry has certainly changed a lot over the generations....it has changed a lot over the last four years. Robust management has never been so important. It all comes down to teamwork.
