Galway Women’s FC continued their successful run of late on Saturday evening in Eamonn Deacy Park when they defeated league newcomers Limerick FC 4-2.
Despite dominating the opening period in terms of territory and possession, the hosts went behind twice to long-range strikes from Marie Curtin and Sylvia Gee on 21 and 42 minutes respectively. Galway had levelled matters for a short time on 32 minutes when captain Méabh De Búrca converted from the penalty spot, but they trailed at the break.
