This annual event is a blitz day for all intercounty u-14 academy players which will see 13 teams from six counties taking part. The participating players have been chosen after a selection process. The games will be played at two venues in Tuam, Tuam Stadium and the Tuam Stars ground, commencing at 11am.

• Galway’s Greg Cunningham, who continues to impress at Manchester City, has agreed a new four-years deal at the club. The 19-years-old, who signed from Mervue United in 2007, made his Ireland debut in May and played for 30 minutes against Argentina last week. It has been an “ unbelievable year” for him, he says. “To get this new deal sorted and win my first full cap for my country has exceeded all my expectations. I’m delighted to have signed a new deal with City. Now I need to impress the manager as much as I can and get as much game time as I can, too.”
