Michael Clarkson and Kate Hennessy, the two most promising juniors Connacht has produced in recent years, claimed the crowns as new king and queen of of the courts in Galway.

The youngest pair of club champions in the history of Galway Lawn Tennis Club - at 15 and 14 respectively - defeated former champions and bookies’ favourites Mark Smyth (7-6 6-4) and Jenny Burrows (6-2 6-3) to win this year’s titles.
