Limerick's attempts to overturn the result of their recent All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship semi-final against Galway will see them take their case to the Disputes Resolution Authority.
This is the final avenue available to the Limerick County Board which had their appeal turned down on Monday night by the central appeals committee.

Galway Ladies issued a strong statement of intent when they easily overcame Tyrone in the TG4 All Ireland Senior Ladies Football championship quarter-final in Cavan on Saturday by 2-20 to 2-5.
Despite a month’s break since retaining their Connacht crown against Mayo, Galway were full of running and were up a goal through Ger Conneally and a point from Tracey Leonard inside the first two minutes.

The benefit of the addition of former Kildare star James Kavanagh to Milltown’s senior football championship challenge was clear to see last Saturday evening at Pearse Stadium, as John Concannon’s side gave Cárna-Caiseal a good trimming, on a score-line of 3-14 to 0-5. Kavanagh kicked one terrific point in the first half and also notched a few frees in the second, but it was his work-rate, link-play and overall contribution to the cause that caught the eye. Experienced scoring forwards are hard to come by at the moment, and Kavanagh can be a really key player for the “Scans” as their season progresses.
They are an improving entity and Milltown are now one of the favourites to win the competition outright, and rightly so.

Galway are under the guidance of Johnny Kelly, Tony Keady and Dinny Cahill this year and their side will have it all to do against the Munster champions, who include the likes of their senior stars Tony Kelly, Podge Collins, David McInerney and midfielder Colm Galvin.

Galway WFC open their first campaign in the Bus Eireann Women's National League in less than two weeks when they host Wexford Youths at Eamonn Deacy Park.
The newly-formed club, which will play alongside teams such as Raheny, Peamount, Shamrock Rovers, Cork, and Castlebar Celtic in the women's league, is currently finalising its squad ahead of its August 25 opener.

The Galway minor hurlers, under the guidance of Mattie Murphy, will face Limerick this Sunday at Croke Park (1.30pm) in the All-Ireland minor semi-final.
This year’s side did enough to defeat Laois in Semple Stadium in the quarter-final, but it was not an overly impressive display, and a much improved performance will be required if they are to defeat Limerick and advance to face Waterford in the All-Ireland final on September 8.
