NUI Galway has added another sports trophy to its cabinet with the women’s Alliance volleyball team winning this year’s cup final. NUIG, coached by Petre Stefanov, were 3-0 winners over Dublin Volleyball Club after a nailbiting final two sets. Lucie Ruzicková was named the Most Valuable Player of the match, joining Regina Halpin and Katerina Axaopoulou who were all nominated as All Stars for the league.
