The Titan's u-13 girls basketball team, pictured in their new kit with Maggie Hornibrook of sponsors Apcoa Parking, have returned from success at the Gottenburg international tournament in Sweden. The girls successfully progressed through the group stage and convincingly beat the host Gothenburg city 34-9 in the quarter finals, before losing in the semis to their Danish counterparts.

The only thing that really mattered last Sunday in Carrick-on-Shannon was that Galway won and they left injury free and with no red cards.
They did that, winning by double scores, 1-13 to 0-8, without playing particularly well and in a game that never really took off or got the pulses racing.

Bullying is totally outlawed in most reasonable places of work. It is a mean spirited act carried out by people often to try to intimidate their victims, to gain some type of psychological advantage over the individuals they are bullying, or to hide their own limitations and inadequacies.

Galway now have a month to prepare themselves for the visit of Mayo to Pearce Stadium in the Connacht semi-final on June 14 following their win in Carrick-on Shannon on Sunday. The month off is something that Galway manager Kevin Walsh is looking forward to after a hectic Spring schedule, he explained after the his sides eight point win. “The most important thing was to get out of here today. I’ve been involved in panels in the past that really struggled to get out of here, but the build up to today with New York and five league games in a row, it’ll be great to get a week off for the lads.”
