•Corinthians RFC, in association with Ulster Bank Galway, will be bringing the RBS Six Nations Trophy to Corinthian Park next Wednesday (February 22) with special guests Alan Quinlan, Luke Fitzgerald and a member of the Connacht squad. This night is open to all. At 5.45pm, Quinlan and Fitzgerald will take a training session with one of the club’s youth teams. Photo opportunities will be available from 6.30pm until 7.30pm, followed by a Q & A session.

Having been relegated from Division 1A last season, Michael Donoghue's priority for the spring will be to get a few wins under their belts in the league and return to the top division for 2018.

Galway county senior hurling champions St Thomas take on Munster and Clare champions Ballyhea on Saturday at Semple stadium in Thurles at 5pm looking for a tilt at the All Ireland club crown.
Ballyhea defeated Glen Rovers (Cork) in their provincial final before Christmas, winning by 1-21 to 2-10, with Clare’s 2013 Hurler of the Year, Tony Kelly in tremendous form.
