Burglaries in County Galway in the first six months of 2010 are up 21 per cent on the same period in 2009 according to new figures discussed at the County Galway Joint Policing Committee (JPC) meeting held in the Council Chambers on Monday.

Jay Silver, who lives in Tuam, worked previously in a Dublin hospital. She has developed and taught a number of courses and classes, some at GMIT. She has a morning slot on Midwest radio’s Tommy Marren Show presenting what she terms “feel-good-factor” talks called “Ordinary Miracles.”

The Green Party leader John Gormley recently stated on RTE Radio that he believed that the fundamentals of the Irish economy were still strong and that he was happy with the establishment of the assets management agency NAMA. To me this is further proof that John Gormley is ill equipped to hold a cabinet ministry. Many believe he has sold his soul to the devil for the trappings of power.
