A teenager, described in court has someone who had “slipped through the system”, pleaded guilty to offences which include burglary and the theft of a car and has been further remanded into custody for possible sentencing.

Galway Sinn Féin will be calling on the public to sign its petition against the controversial and much resented Universal Social Charge.
The party will be actively campaigning against the tax and is committed to abolishing it. According to Galway Sinn Féin City West spokesperson Tom Hanly: “The introduction of this penal tax benefited those on the highest incomes as everyone with an income over €16,000 pays it at the same rate of seven per cent.
