Supermini manufacturer smart returns to the Irish market with the arrival of its new fully-electric smart #1. As its name suggests, this will be the first in a sequence of EV models marketed through a number of Mercedes dealerships.
The smart #1 comes on the market in a choice of four versions: an entry-level 'Pro' from €37,479, followed in turn by a 'Pro+' from €41,894 and 'Premium' from €48,332 (pictured), and by an exclusive smart #1 Brabus edition.

Toyota has closed out the hugely competitive January passenger car sales period as the clear market leader with a share of 17.34%. This marks the fourth January in a row as Ireland’s best-selling car brand. 5,457 passenger cars were sold by Toyota, 1,665 more than the next best seller during January, and showing a 22.99% increase year on year. A continuing consumer demand for hybrid electric and electric vehicles is clear, making up 96.2% of all Toyota passenger cars sold in January.
