Students sit a free assessment to find their ‘just right’ start point and follow an individualised study plan on paper or on tablet. Kumon maths and English programmes are completely individualised, year round programmes. Students who study for approximately 20 minutes daily develop according to their individual abilities and find themselves, over time, advancing steadily, often far beyond their age.

Children’s progress is unlimited when they study at their ‘just right’ level. When children are able to do their work on their own, whatever that level may be, they can move forwards at a much smoother pace than if they are not able to do the work by themselves. By giving students the ‘just right’ work for them, they can exceed adults' expectations. Kumon wants children to experience the joy of learning new things and to realise that there is no limit to how far they can advance.
