The Linenhall Arts Centre have released their multifaceted Autumn and Winter programme of live events from September to December 2022 with their latest brochure.

After busy summer months of workshops and a wholly encompassing art exhibition, the Linenhall’s live programme is back with a bang this September, featuring a wide spectrum of music performances.

Nolan collaborated with groups and organisations throughout Mayo such as Outwest, Artsquad Mayo, Mayo Rollers, and HEARTH, among many others, to curate one of the largest exhibitions the Linenhall has had the privilege to host, displaying outstanding pieces from one of Ireland’s most prestigious art collections, that of the The Arts Council.

Among the many multi-faceted events programmed at the Linenhall Arts Centre this July are two compelling stage productions, of very different, but equally engaging ilks.

Bringing an eclectic music element to the Linenhall theatre on Friday, June 24, is ‘No Crows’, a dynamic folk orchestra from the multicultural melting pot of Sligo’s music scene.

Proudly hosted by the Linenhall this week is The Visit, as Blanchardstown based theatre company Draoicht bring their touring play to Mayo on Thursday, June 2. Centered around Rose, played by Mary O’Driscoll, this masterpiece of new theatre writing is brought vividly to dramatic life by Ireland’s foremost playwright, Deirdre Kinahan.

Over the coming week, the Linenhall will be a hive of activity, with a variety of workshops for all ages, interests and starting points taking place. You’re all invited to flex your creative muscles, pick up a new skill or build on an existing talent, just in time for the summer months.

On April 30, Mayo Day will be taking over the historic Linenhall with its very own programme of locally based, and locally inspired talent and events to suit all ages. Courtesy of Mayo County Council, this massive celebration of all things Mayo falls on the Saturday of the May Bank Holiday this year, with the Linenhall’s Lá Mhaigh Eo schedule kicking off at 11am with ‘Gráinne Mhaol’.
