GMIT report due to be released before Christmas

Former taoiseach Enda Kenny and Education Minister Richard Bruton established a working group in March to formulate a plan and a pathway for a sustainable future for the GMIT Mayo Campus in Castlebar.

Cillian O’Connor unveils new Dealz store in Castlebar

Ireland’s largest discount retailer, Dealz, celebrated the opening of its 61st Irish store in Castlebar this week, with Mayo footballer Cillian O’Connor on hand to cut the ribbon. The newly opened 5,000sq ft store, located on Ellison Street, brings 22 new jobs to the area and is the retailer’s first store in Mayo.
