FG deliberately ignoring the Government’s jobs plan - Calleary

Labour Affairs Minister and Fianna Fáil TD for Mayo Dara Calleary has accused Fine Gael of deliberately ignoring the Government’s job plan on a day when the numbers of those signing on fell for the first time in two years. Earlier this week Fine Gael tried to “stoke up fear by incorrectly claiming that there was 60,000 more people unemployed than there actually are”, said Minister Calleary.

Online learning in Mayo libraries

Mayo County Library is delighted to launch a joint project with FÁS to offer learning opportunities for adults in three libraries: Castlebar, Ballina, and Swinford. The project provides a range of online courses, which can be accessed in the library or from home, supported by a facilitator who will be available in the participating libraries. The courses will help people gain new computer skills and build on existing skills.
