To make all young people aware of the important aspects of road safety, Mayo County Council and Co Mayo VEC Youth Office would like to invite youth clubs to take part in a road safety art competition, with the theme of the competition being Getting There Safely.
Entries must be original and the applicant’s own work and should be on size A4 paper. Twelve pictures will be chosen from the competition entries and each winning picture will feature in the road safety’s 2010 calendar. Winning artists will also receive a prize (high visibility clothing and cycling helmets ) and a copy of the calendar. All participating clubs will enter a draw to receive book vouchers.
The closing date for the competition is Thursday December 3 and entries should be sent to: The Road Safety Art Competition, Mayo County Council, Áras an Chontae, Castlebar.
