The man who was voted the Irishman of the 20th century will speak in Castlebar Library on Thursday November 12 at 8pm.
As part of its Straight Talking series the library is bringing Mr Whitaker to Castlebar to reflect on his life and times. Whitaker is the man who is credited with shaping the Irish economic recovery of the 1960s. All are welcome to attend.
