Mayo Citizens Information Service will hold an outreach on Wednesday April 22 at the Cosgallen Office, the Enterprise Centre, Airport Road, Charlestown from 9.45am to 11.30am. The service is free and confidential and a wide range of areas are covered including consumer rights, employment rights, social welfare, taxation and disability information. Jobs Club

Cosgallen CDP in conjunction with North East LEADER Partnership Co Teo will hold a Jobs Club in May. The course will be held from Tuesday May 5 until Friday May 22. The course will be held every morning from 10am to 1pm in the Cosgallen Office in Charlestown and a small out of pocket expenses will be paid. Barnacouge/Killaturley Walking Group

A walk organised by the Barnacogue/Killaturley walking group will take place on Tuesday April 21 at 7.30pm. The walkers will meet at the Killaturley Shrine which is the second shrine on the Cullane Road coming from Swinford. This walking group has held a number of walks during the last few years and they have been very successful. Belmullet/Kilmore Community Games will take place on Sunday April 26 at Drum Community Pitch with the parade starting at 1.30pm. A perpetual cup in honour of Fr Declan Caulfield will be presented to the Young Athlete of the Day who wins the most medals. All competitors must be under the specified age on July 31.

Echoes of the West, a collection of short stories and poetry by clients from HSE Health Centres in Kiltimagh, Swinford, Claremorris, and Castlebar, was launched by local broadcaster Tommy Marren at the Cill Aodáin Court Hotel in Kiltimagh.

Info day on keeping children safe

The Mayo Child Protection Committee will hold an information day, Keeping Children and Young People Safe, on Sunday June 7 in Breaffy House Hotel from 2pm to 5pm. This event will consist of Mayo local community and State services providing advice and information on a range of services, with the overriding theme of keeping our children and young people safe.
