Echoes of the West, a collection of short stories and poetry by clients from HSE Health Centres in Kiltimagh, Swinford, Claremorris, and Castlebar, was launched by local broadcaster Tommy Marren at the Cill Aodáin Court Hotel in Kiltimagh.
The book chronicles life events, from the joy of giving birth and falling in love to the heartbreak of having a child taken away, the rage of jealousy, the loneliness of homesickness, and the struggle of illness.
Dan Durand, editor of the book, thanked all those businesses and individuals who sponsored the funding of Echoes of the West.
