The members of Catcha Fire have been playing Bob's music the best part of two decades and their obvious love and respect for the music of Bob Marley and The Wailers comes across in every performance and choice of songs. Fri, Aug 31, 2012

The Beat rocked the house and now its the turn of 2-Tone’s flagship band Jerry Dammer's The Specials, or at least a very authentic tribute to The Specials, who will be taking to the stage in the Ruby Room, in the Royal Theatre Castlebar, next Saturday, September 8 at 10.30pm. After the lads from Coventry stormed Dublin's Olympia Theatre with their 30th Anniversary tour, it was obvious that Ska music was still alive in peoples' minds and that Ireland at the turn of the decade wasn't too far away from the Coventry⁄Birmingham Ghost Towns of 1981. The Very Specials tribute will bring the magic of the Specials and two tone back to Castlebar for one night only with Castlebar’s own Dave Barry, manning the decks and spinning out some soul, funk and two tone classics over the night from the DJ booth.
