The new Oscar Traynor season kicks off with a friendly against the Defence Forces International Squad at Eamonn Deacy Park on Tuesday October 23 (7pm).
The first Oscar Traynor competitive match will be on November 10 in Eamonn Deacy Park v Roscommon District League.

In October 2005 Carna-Caiseal were relegated to intermediate football, a short week after losing the county senior final to Salthill. It has taken the club seven long years, but eventually after Trojan efforts, they finally received their reward last Sunday when they defeated Athenry in the intermediate county final at Pearse Stadium by 2-13 to 0-7 to regain their senior status.

That is the mantra of a real fellowship and, even in his initial analysis of the game, Cunningham spoke with rationality and pride. “We had very see-saw first half, but the boys fought back tremendously. We’re very proud of them. This team is on an upward curve, and the signs look extremely good for them.”
