After the worrying nature of their loss to Wexford last week, the Galway senior hurlers have two games left to salvage their Leinster Championship ambitions, beginning up north at Corrigan Park to face Antrim this Saturday, May 18, with throw-in at 2pm.
The unpredictable nature of this year’s championship was emphasised yet again last Saturday when Carlow’s Marty Kavanagh drove over a late free to earn a share of the spoils with injury-hit Kilkenny. The Cats now lie in second place in the table behind Dublin, who were surprisingly comfortable winners over Antrim at home last weekend.

Galway's St. Thomas' simply refused to accept a fourth successive semi-final loss as they prevailed over Ballygunner on penalties in Saturday night's epic semi-final showdown. The victory sets up a clash against Leinster champions, O'Loughlin Gaels, in the All-Ireland Club Hurling Championship in January. If Saturday's game is anything to go by, the Galway side's doggedness and never-say-die attitude will stand them in good stead in Croke Park.
St. Thomas' were underdogs going into Saturday's game, but instead of being a team that were not expected to win they turned into a team that refused to lose. The team from the west absorbed all the pressure thrown at them and some. The six-in-a-row county champions defied all odds to send tournament favourites Ballygunner crashing out in the most pulsating of semi-finals that went all the way to a nervy penalty shootout.

Sarsfields are set to contest this year's All-Ireland Senior Club Camogie Final for the third year running. They have won their previous two finals, beating Oulart-the Ballagh(Wexford) in 2021, in a repeat of their loss the year prior, before defeating Loughgiel Shamrocks of Antrim in 2022.
Both finals were hotly contested, and this year's showpiece is expected to be the same. Diksboro are looking to be the first Kilkenny club since St. Lachtains in 2006 to take home the crown. Their semi-final victory saw them defeat last year's runners-up Loughgiel on a score-line of 2-13 to 1-10, and the Kilkenny team will feel confident coming into this game.
