Body found in search for missing Kinvara woman

Gardaí were last night attempting to identify a body found during the search for Kinvara woman Mrs Bernadette Leech, who has been missing for the past week.

Ms Leech (49) had not been seen since leaving her home in Kinvara since the morning of Thursday February 5. Searches were mounted for Ms Leech following her disappearance, with gardaí, the Coastguard, and local volunteers out combing the coastline of south Galway and Co Clare over the past week. The missing woman was last seen driving her car, a silver Suzuki Vitara jeep, which was discovered at Liscannor on the Co Clare coast on Saturday, sparking further fears for her safety.
