Worn or damaged tyres can hamper your ability to drive safely. In Ireland the legal minimum tread depth is 1.6mm. Especially during winter it makes sense to ensure the tread depth is double that as your tyres will be fighting for grip in rain, snow, and ice. Remember to check tyre air pressure frequently, as it decreases in cold weather. You should also check the tyres for general wear, cracking, bulging, pressure or objects caught in the tread. Sasha Auto offers free tyres check up.
