A pioneer of the compact SUV market, the Captur has sold 1.2 million units since its launch in 2013, rapidly becoming the best-selling model in its class across Europe.
When it was launched, there was just one rival in this segment, but the new model will arrive next year to be greeted by more than 20 direct competitors.

Total new car registrations for the month of June are up 13 per cent (1,410) when compared with June 2018 (1,248). However, new car registrations for the year to date are down 7.4 per cent (80,712) on the similar period last year (87,116).
Volkswagen is the top selling brand, followed by Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, Skoda, Nissan, Renault, KIA, Peugeot and Audi.

There is a call on drivers to slow down and keep a safe distance when overtaking cyclists on both urban and rural roads. Not only during the upcoming National Bike Week which runs until Sunday June 30, but every day of the year. Cyclists are also being reminded to follow the rules of the road.
All road users need to be aware there will be an increase in the number of cyclists on the road over this period, with drivers in particular being asked to treat them with respect and to share the road safely.

Deals on offer include reductions on some of Ireland’s best-selling cars, with the added bonus of: seven years warranty; seven years roadside assistance; one year free road tax; and lower 3.9 per cent APR, value upgrade packs for selected models that include a range of extras at reduced prices.
