Pagodas Temple martial arts centre was started by Chris Hickey, fourth degree dan black belt, the highest graded judo black belt in the west of Ireland. In order to get fitter we have to take our body out of the comfort Zone and put a little stress on it. Our bodies learn to adapt to the new training thus making the new training less of a challenge. This is what happens when you hit a ‘Training plateau’. for example when you first start lifting weights maybe you can only bench press 20kg but after a few weeks of repeating the bench press you find this weight easy and will be able to add on more weight.

1. Experiment with different foundations. You can mix two together to get the perfect result. When choosing a foundation opt for one that suits your skin type. Do you have a shiny or dehydrated complexion or is it balanced? Are some fine lines creeping in around your eyes and lips? A natural looking foundation will enhance your colouring and disguise any imperfections. If you are buying a new shade test it on your jawline to ensure there is no difference between your face and neck colour.

Playing sports is a wonderful way to stay in shape and have fun with friends. Whether you are a casual sports player, a weekend warrior, or someone who trains hard every day, acupuncture can be extremely valuable for you.
From the Chinese medical point of view, the body is an energetic collection of functions, not just a mechanical collection of parts. We contain life energy, or qi, and a person is said to be in perfect health when this energy is flowing unimpeded, and in an adequate amount throughout the entire body.

Women often say, half jokingly, that they would rather lose their wallet than their make-up bag. Most of us would admit to being ridiculously, even emotionally, attached to the contents. With this in mind I walked the gorgeous Brown Thomas cosmetic hall recently and asked the experts which products were in their own make-up bags. I got the inside scoop as, truth be known, we try and test drive every single product that comes through the door. Though some of the picks were new, many were iconic and very much synonymous with the brands that make them.

The new season is fast approaching and this is always a good time to think of revamping or clearing out your wardrobe and shopping for exciting new pieces. Because style is all about understanding what suits you, I want to help you to look more closely at the shape of your clothes and know if they work for you. My top tips will help to find what is really right for you.
If you feel you are pretty much straight up and down and you want to introduce womanly curves, you may have what we call a boyish or a column figure.
