This can contribute to heart disease or even stroke. VLDL (very low density lipoproteins) is similar to LDL in that it contains mostly fat and carries another type of fat, triglycerides, in the blood. Excess calories, alcohol, or sugar in your body are converted into triglycerides and stored in fat cells throughout your body.
