If you have anaemia, you’re probably familiar with symptoms like fatigue, dizziness, and pain. Red blood cells play a vital role in your body because they are responsible for transporting oxygen. We know every cell needs oxygen so a disruption in supply means your body doesn’t get the oxygen it needs, leaving you feeling exhausted and unwell.
This is where hyperbaric oxygenation (HBOT) can help. Typically, oxygen is carried through your body by red blood cells. But when you have anaemia, this process doesn’t work as efficiently. HBOT bypasses the traditional oxygen delivery method by dissolving oxygen directly into the plasma, the liquid part of your blood. This ensures that your cells receive more oxygen, even when red blood cell levels are low.
