The pharmacy retail counter assistant course has been running for 20 years at the GRETB Training Centre in Mervue, Galway. The course regularly provides staff to pharmacies in both full and part time positions as pharmacy assistants, cosmetic sales assistants, and pharmacy managers. Over 80 per cent of course graduates have secured employment in pharmacies.

This course will give you extensive knowledge of over the counter (OTC) medicines and a 10 week full time placement in a pharmacy where you will work as part of a pharmacy team which gives invaluable experience of the job and may also offer an opportunity to pursue a pharmacy technician qualification in the future.
