PAYE modernisation will be operational from January 1 2019. For those already working in payroll, or those who would like to pursue a career in payroll, this is an excellent time to acquire a new skill and a good understanding of the Government's plans for PAYE modernisation.
GPA Solutions is delivering its successful QQI Level 5 payroll award in Galway this spring, which will cover the most up to date developments in payroll and prepare learners for future changes in how payroll is processed.
Learners who successfully complete this course will gain a thorough knowledge of basic PAYE computations to include the cumulative, week 1, and emergency tax basis. Learners will learn and understand PRSI and USC computations, how to deal with starters and leavers, PAYE modernisation, jobs and pensions service, and year end procedures.
This course is delivered through lectures, group discussion, assignment, and case studies to resemble a real business scenario. The case study will include setting up a company with employees and processing the weekly and monthly payrolls
Successful participants will be awarded a component QQI Manual & Computerised Payroll Level 5 award.
The course commences on April 11 2018 in Galway and will run one day a week for four weeks. Fully funded places are available for eligible jobseekers.
