Music, matches, and mirth at Claregalway St Patrick’s Day parade

Claregalway St Patricks Day Festival will again take place in Hughes’courtyard ,Claregalway, from 12.00pm to 3.00pm pm on Saturday.

With a big screen showing all the rugby and GAA matches, with all the action from Croke Park and Twickenham, the programme of events will include live music and dance from a host of local groups and individuals.

There will be music from Trad Taste Turloughmore, under the direction of Angela Fahy; Coláiste Bhaile Chláir College, under the direction of Gareth Callan, Music Teacher; the wonderful sounds of the S.N. Carnmore showcase musicians and dance talents, conducted by principal John O’Reilly.

St Patrick will arrive by pony and trap and there will be other entertainment from Vinnie Mongan Restless Band; the Hession School of Irish Dance; the S.N. Bhaile Chla¡r na Gaillimhe Song and Dance; Lackagh Comhaltas Group – musicians and dancers Sharon Connell; Gerry Mooney guitar teacher/musicians Adult Jive and Waltz and Strictly Come Dance Centre Terryland Galway; and the Corrib School of Irish Dancing

There will face painting and nail art designs, art and crafts, minecraft competitions, kids entertainers, circus skills, juggling, and balloon display.

Food will be available from Treat Café and Supervalu.
