Cider Wasps to play Monroe's

CIDER WASPS clearly know what they are doing, having been mentored by the late Dennis Sheehan, U2's world tour manager for more than 30 years; and in getting support slots with the Original Rude Boys and Walking on Cars.

The band - Danny and Tommy Dunford, Stephen Keating, and Colin Drummey - from Dungarvan, Waterford, are coming to Monroe's Backstage Bar on Wednesday March 7 at 8.30pm.

Inspired by the Kings of Leon and Biffy Clyro, Cider Wasps music features strong harmony vocals; melodic, yet distorted guitar riffs, with heavy drums and bass lines. They have played the Clonmel Busking Festival, Deise Day 2016, and Indiependence Festival. Their debut EP was released in 2015 while the Ethereal EP came out in 2017.

Tickets are €5 from www.monroes.ie and www.ticketweb.ie
