GPA Solutions is delivering its successful QQI Level 5 and 6 payroll awards this spring. These awards will provide learners with a working knowledge of the Irish payroll system and a valuable qualification to add to their CV.
Level 5 awards will provide learners with a thorough knowledge of basic PAYE computations to include the cumulative, week one, and emergency tax basis. Learners will learn and understand PRSI and USC computations, how to deal with starters and leavers, file Revenue forms, and year end procedures. This course will run over four days, one day a week, commencing in March in Galway.
The Level 6 award is ideal for learners who wish to further develop their existing payroll skills by focusing on areas such as tax implications when calculating pensions, BIKs, illness and maternity benefit, and cycle to work scheme in both a manual and computerised context. The course will also explore aspects of relevant employment law, various Revenue reports and filing with ROS, and year end procedures. This course will run for two evenings over six weeks, commencing March 22 in Galway.
Both courses are delivered through lectures, case studies, and assignments. Online resources are available for all learners who register for these courses.
