St Patrick’s Weekend @ The Skeff

Trad music and Six Nations action

TRADITIONAL IRISH music gigs and a feast of Six Nations action will be the order of the day throughout the St Patrick’s Weekend Celebrations at The Skeff, Eyre Square.

The celebrations kick off the night before our National Day when, on Friday March 16, Evoke take to the stage from 9pm, performing their renditions of classics and trad, followed by The Skeff’s resident DJ until late.

On St Patrick's Day, The Kings of Connaught, a quintet who play acoustic guitar, banjos, accordions, whistles, mandolin, mandola, and uilleann pipes, play from 12 noon to 2pm. The Skeff will then show Ireland's clash with England (2.45pm ) on the big screen. During half-time, Tayto sandwiches will be served. GAA action will feature in the day's events with the live screenings of the AIB All Ireland Club Championships. Irish trad session band, Ogma, will play from 5pm to 7pm. Throughout the night, resident DJs will be spinning the decks in the venue's five bars until late.
