Galway Astronomy Club’s Astrofest 2018, is taking place this Saturday January 27 in the Harbour Hotel, Galway, with registration from 9.15am.
The annual festival includes a day long series of talks, trade displays by Ireland’s largest telescope retailer, displays of photographs by some of Ireland’s top astrophotographers, lunchtime workshops and much more.
This weekend the Patrick Moore Memorial Lecture will be an interview with Emer Reynolds, Director of ‘The Farthest’. This amazing documentary will be shown in the Eye Cinema in Galway at 7.00 pm tomorrow Friday January 26.

The Farthest, the stunning documentary has been attracting rave reviews across the board, and tells the incredible story of the Voyager Space probe, which recently left our solar system.
