On Saturday at 3pm, The Kenny Gallery in Liosbán will be the venue for the premier of two new pieces of music, to be performed by The ConTempo Quartet.
This concert is the finale of the New Notes project, a year long collaboration between ConTempo and Dublin’s Contemporary Music Centre.
The new works to be performed are string quartets written especially for ConTempo. ‘Pas de Quatre’ by Rhona Clarke and ‘Entropy’ by Gráinne Mulvey. The programme will also feature ‘ConTempo Conversations’ by Galway based composer Jane O’Leary and ‘Minard/Nithsdale’ by Jennifer Walshe.
