New Year – new courses at the GRETB Training Centre

It is time to start thinking about re-training and upskilling to help you change career or to learn a new skill. The GRETB Training Centre offers day, evening, and Saturday courses. Theses courses offer many benefits from a personal and career perspective. GRETB is continuously developing new courses to meet the needs of learners and industry.

Courses include: Web design; AutoCAD; SolidWorks; office administration; tourism with business; transport courses – bus, HGV rigid, and artic; digital marketing; accounting technician; manual and computerised accounts; cleanroom and packaging operations; sports recreation; ECDL; supervisory management; start your own business; reception; guarding skills; first aid responder; door security; Java programming; and more.

The GRETB has also introduced a new apprenticeship ICT Associate Professional Network Engineer at Level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ ).

The apprenticeship scheme for Galway and Roscommon is managed out of the GRETB Training Centre in Mervue. For more information about apprenticeship, visit the website www.apprenticeship.ie The centre has fully equipped classrooms, IT suites, and workshops for carpentry and joinery, electrical, motor mechanics, metal fabrication, and welding.

All courses are certified and accredited by national and internationally recognised examining and professional bodies. The training centre offers literacy and numeracy support services tailored to course content.
